Transcription
Transcription is the conversion of spoken language into written language, from audio into text. It is often the first step for subtitle translations or dubbing and makes it easier for the translator, director, or voice artists to perform their tasks accurately. In complex projects or when dealing with strong dialects, this step can also help to discuss open questions, resolve differences, and avoid mistakes further down the line.
Transcription normally goes hand in hand with translation. What is curious about it is that in order to get a great translation from the original /source file/into the desired language, the person responsible actually has to describe and write down all the noises and all the surrounding effects. This way the final translated version is immaculately transmitted into the target language.
Machine Translation
Machine translation post-editing is the perfect combination of man and machine. The ideal process is to “train” the machine (i.e. “feed” it with accurate data) before starting the project. The better the data, the better the output. This MT output will then be edited and proofread [links] by specially trained linguists whose skill set is very different from regular translators and editors. Ideally, this step eliminates all machine-made errors while at the same time increasing the readability and style to TEP- quality and lowering the costs and increasing the volume.
Desktop Publishing
When it comes to having one text in multiple languages and afterwards having the same outer layout or formatting, Desktop Publishing (or often abbreviated DTP) is a must so you get the same result in all languages.
Language expertise – Our DTP experts know the languages they work with. Furthermore, it is a big advantage that they can read the languages, so they can discover the small details that make a difference. As an example, characters that have to stay together or small combinations of characters that can not have spaces between them.
Language rules – Sometimes the Asian punctuations and paragraph rules can pose a big challenge to a person from outside of Asia due to the fact that they are different from other Alphabet based languages.
Local knowledge – We know the trends in the local markets and customs, so we can be up-to-date with them. Whenever it is required, we can follow exact local specifics for our clients, so the final product is fitting your purposes.
Interpretation Services
Interpretation is more complicated than a document translation, requiring not only proficiency of both languages, but also great communication skill, empathy, and quick thinking under high-risk situations.
We are fully aware that they require a separate set of skills. That is why we believe that having two separate teams for translation and interpreting is essential. Each interpreter must provide an excellent resume, multiple references, undergo an interview, and take our language proficiency exam. A supervisor accompanies our interpreters to their initial appointments to further vet their work before they are allowed to work independently. They have regular meetings with our vendor manager and feedback from clients are regularly addressed and taken into account for their evaluation.
We have court certified interpreters and also provide telephone and video interpreting.
Many of our interpreters are specialized in Education and Medical interpreting.

Subtitling
Media translation is a very dynamic and fast growing industry, which involves the use of sound as well as imagery, to guarantee that translations are performed as best as possible. Our company works for both entertainment industries like TV programs and movies as well as e-learning material for enterprise clients.
Subtitle translation is part of screen translation, where text in the target language is inserted at the bottom of the screen. While subtitle is permanently inserted as part of the screen, captions can be hidden when needed.
